The Penumbra Series was what got Frictional Games started, and would lead them to one of the most iconic horror games ever made, Amnesia The Dark Descent. The Penumbra games though were definitely onto to something at the time. It's a shame though that it doesn't get talked about as much. Even still, I still love the games, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good survival horror experience.
My mistake. You actually need Amnesia The Dark Descent in order to play Penumbra Necrologue.
