What did Paul, Peter and Jude teach regarding hell? Did they teach that souls would endure eternal conscious torment, suffering in agony forever, or that the final destiny of souls was absolute destruction, of ceasing to exist? They used three sources for their teachings, the Old Testament Scriptures regarding hell, Jesus’ interpretation of those Scriptures, and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
None of the New Testament epistles were influended by John's apocalyptic vision, for they were all dead or martryed before it was written by John on Patmos.
