Ros is playing what we know as Pat-a-Cake, Pat-a-cake, Bakers Man - but the Austen family's version in Regency times was "Make a Cake". This is played from the hand-written music in the Austen and Knight family archive of music.

it was possible to alter the name of the child to fit a member of the household, but it remained necessary for it to be marked with "T" for the rhyme to fit. There are examples in the Austen music collection where traditional lyrics are changed to fit family names.
