This video is about Richard Titherage, (1788 - 1834), more popularly known as Dickey Dung Prong, a rogue who lived through the Regency period and died in poverty. His story has been preserved due to his deathbed conversion to Christianity in which he made a full confession of his sins to his priest - who after his death, published it in a pamphlet at a cost of 2d each - selling out the first run of 3,000 copies in three days! It was so popular it went into further editions. There is no record of what was done with the profits. Read it yourself at:
