Traditional greenhouses of 36,000 sq. ft can cost $10,000 per month to heat or more, which makes food production very expensive and uncompetitive.
Passive solar greenhouses change all that and allow people in northern locations to grow their own food and become more food secure.
Nazarali and his group, Egertonians and Friends are bringing six pilot scale passive solar greenhouses to Canada and four to Pakistan to demonstrate the benefits of local food in these two northern countries.
