I originally found this trick all the way back in 2014, but it required using Hitbox Glitch, meaning you had to fall OoB while in Paper Mode. Because of this extra setup the trick didn't save that much time. The new method I found is to unspin and jump on the same frame from a precise position on the right side of the tree, while moving left. This will allow you to clip without Hitbox Glitch! I tried to optimise this decently, and my attempt saved 2.6 seconds over the most recent TAS. This trick is used twice so that's 5.2 seconds overall, and likely a little more with better optimisation.
For anyone wondering what this trick actually achieves, it just means you don't have to walk all the way to the right side of the room and back again.
