This glitch allows you to get two blue coins from a pokey, using a fly guy. It works by eating the head of the pokey and bouncing on the fly guy at the same time.
Doing the trick is quite difficult as if you are not high enough then you will eat a lower section of the pokey, and if you don't bounce quickly enough (meaning the pokey's head starts to move towards Yoshi) then the pokey will instantly die. You also need to make sure the pokey's head is still loaded when you touch the ground to get the blue coin from Yoshi's mouth, as if it is not the game will crash. The blue coin spawning before the pokey's head disappears is why this trick works at all.
I also had to use weird camera angles and movement so that the fly guy didn't see me at the start and lunge the wrong way: it is only loaded while actually on screen. This was only necessary to save time though.
This trick can be done with all 3 pokeys in the course, as there are also 3 fly guys. However I think that for getting maximum coins it would be better to not do the glitch on the pokey I use in this video, as that means you can still get large combos using a box turned into an egg. So this glitch should increase the total coins in Shifting Sand Land by 10.
It may in fact be possible to use a different glitch to get infinite/255 coins anyway, so stay tuned ;)
