Pangasius sanitwongsei, also known as the giant pangasius or paroon shark catfish, is native to Southeast Asia, especially the Mekong and Chao Phraya river systems

It is one of the largest freshwater catfish species, capable of reaching up to 2–3 meters (6–10 feet) and weighing over 300 kg (660 lbs).
