💚 Update after 155 days on my home-grown marimo balls.
They require almost no maintenance. Once a week, I give the jellyfish tank a little stir so the little guys don’t grow together.
They’re growing very slowly because I’m using the original lighting setup. It’s a pretty cheap LED and not really ideal for the marimo balls. But it works somehow anyway.
Right now, the water temperature is 25 degrees since it’s summer. Plus, the two pumps in the pump chamber generate quite a bit of heat. But the temperature is still okay for the marimos.
I’ve given away 2 of the 160 moss balls, so there are 158 left.
