Have you ever started an abstract acrylic painting without a plan and wondered where the process might take you?
Welcome to the very first Over My Shoulder studio session!
I’m inviting you into my studio to create alongside me. There are no rehearsed demonstrations, no edits, and no planned outcome—just a look at my creative process as it unfolds.
Today, I set out to create a large abstract acrylic painting using a very wet, fluid approach. Along the way, I experiment with High Flow Acrylics, Airbrush Medium, palette knives, water, brayers, and a few unexpected techniques as I discover what works (and what doesn’t).
If you’ve ever wondered how to loosen up your paintings, create soft transitions, or simply enjoy the process of painting without overthinking every decision, I hope this video encourages you to explore right alongside me.
