Color Studies for Mixed Media Art

Color studies are an easy, no-pressure way to get comfortable with color in your mixed-media art. In this video, I’ll show you four simple ways to explore color using just four colors plus black and white. Along the way, I’ll walk you through how I mix, experiment, and test colors to see what works.
We’ll also put these studies to good use by making two different mini concertina art books—a great way to keep your color references handy. And if you love working with a gel plate, I’ve got a fun approach to color mixing that might surprise you.
