April 2, 2011 - If one thing has been obvious throughout Ovechkin's career, it's that the man absolutely loves to score goals. The Great 8's celebrations have been subject to much attention over the years - whether for how much fans enjoyed seeing the passion with which he played, or how others, particularly those wearing oddly colored suits, felt they were over the top and not in the spirit of the game. One of his most memorable "cellys" came at the end of the 2010-11 season, when he capped off a pair of assists in a late comeback effort with his 10th career overtime goal to seal the win for DC. After a couple of dangles out of the corner, Ovechkin's pass to John Carlson at the backdoor deflected off of Andrej Sekera's skate, leading to a jubilant dancing celebration at center ice from Washington's captain. Despite what had been a down year compared to the standard he had set in his first five seasons, his two assists made him just the seventh player with 80+ points in each of his first six seasons, and his goal gave him 30 on the year, allowing him to keep his streak of 30-goal seasons as he would eventually go on to break the record for such seasons 13 years later.
