We've wanted to travel to Japan for years and we finally made it! Landing here Tokyo is such an incredible feeling and we wanted to take you around during our first two days in Japan to get a good feel of what this incredible country has to offer.

Our journey in Tokyo started of course with food because for us, eating is traveling! The Tsukiji Fish Market also known as the Tsukiji Outer Market is such a lively place ideal to make your first steps into the Japanese food scene. The of course had to try tuna sushi or nigiri followed by the world famous A5 Wagyu been and some mochi for something sweet. Japanese street food was delicious.
After walking across the world's most famous and busiest intersection, Shibuya Crossing, we made our way to the Tokyo Pokemon Cafe where we were able to get a last minute reservation for dinner. Is this a gimmick? Yes! Did we have a good time there? Yes! Pikachu and Snorlax shaped foods, a super fun and vibrant restaurant decorated with more PokΓ©mon than you can count and even an appearance of Pikachu himself. Make sure to secure your reservation to the PokΓ©mon Cafe 30 days in advance, otherwise, have a look the day before as they put last minute cancellations on their website or on the board in from of the Pokemon Cafe location.
Tokyo at night is truly when the city comes alive! From the Namco claw machine centres, to the beautiful billboards and lights illuminating the city, it is truly something to experience. But what we really wanted to do more than anything else was a nighttime Go Kart Tour thought Shibuya Crossing. Is this super touristy, yes! But it made my inner child extremely happy and this is now one of my favorite travel experience ever! It felt like a real life Mario Kart adventure.
