Our blue-Merle (pattern of his fur color - black, white, gray) Border Collie is quite vocal. Vocal when he is excited to play outside, catch a ball, when all of us run downstairs in our house to the basement and Clark is left to catch up, and so on.
So we have been working on saying “hello” to him and having him say “ha-row” back for many months. My wife got home one day and Clark was already quite vocal and decided to record the situation and see if he would talk - and he did!
Ever since then - he can do it more and more consistent now with persistent training and rewards.
