This was an unplanned adventure as our rental car was getting a tire (tyre) fixed at the Mechanic shop, so we took advantage of our one-day Wales tour and stopped by this fortress in Northern Wales that was built back in the 13th Century! Of course, there have been additions, renovations and stabilizations across the centuries but as it currently stands allows us to take a glimpse into the past of this architectural amazement.

Little know fact about the UK - Wales has the highest concentration of castles in the UK. More than Scotland and England. I didn't know that!
