Can you record EEG from a goat while it is jumping and moving naturally? This demonstration shows OSCAR LIVE during a real-time animal EEG recording from Hugo the goat using the Unicorn BCI Core-8 with Gold Cup Electrodes.
The compact Unicorn BCI Core-8 is mounted on Hugo’s neck and connected to 4 Gold Cup EEG Electrodes positioned for the recording. EEG is acquired while Hugo moves and jumps, providing a challenging real-world demonstration of animal EEG during strong movement.
Jumping and natural body movements can introduce substantial motion artifacts into EEG recordings. OSCAR LIVE corrects movement-related EEG artifacts in real time, allowing researchers to observe how movement affects the EEG and how artifact correction performs during dynamic recording conditions.
The combination of Unicorn BCI Core-8 and OSCAR LIVE is particularly relevant for animal EEG, veterinary neuroscience, animal cognition, animal welfare research, behavioral neuroscience, mobile EEG, wearable EEG and real-world electrophysiology.
OSCAR LIVE is included in g.HIsys Professional, integrating real-time EEG artifact correction into g.tec’s biosignal acquisition and real-time processing environment. For offline EEG analysis and artifact correction, OSCAR PRO is included in g.BSanalyze Professional.
