In this video I show you how to steal an idea from cereal to organize your workshop... I need more storage, we always need more storage, and we have these nice plain walls with nothing them, so why not try to use them to keep the shop organized, but also to get those tools we use the most into a place that makes them easy to get to. In this video I go through how to go from concept to a finished product to see if this idea even works.

I'm using hexagons along with an idea from Ikea with the Skadis wall panel system to design something that hopefully works well for my workshop, and maybe gives you some ideas as well for your own space.

I use a combination of the laser cutter and 3d printing to create these panels. They came from scrap from the shop and they needed to be painted, I had a bit of a problem with the paint job at first so I re-painted them to make it look a little better. It seems to do a good job absorbing echo, it looks great, and it gives a great place to hang tools.

I still need to do the rest of the walls in the shop, I'm in no hurry, one section at a time. I'm not sure I'll do the 3d printed mounts for the next batch, simply gluing wood spacers to the backs would work well and I could fasten through them also. They'd probably be stronger. The printed option was a neat idea and it works, but I think I could make them faster the next time without.

The speed of this printer makes a big difference with my projects, being able to print something in an hour, rather than three changes a lot. I'm finding myself using a printer for lots more project around the home. I still have my Ender 3 V2s setup and I'll have more videos coming out with that printer included as well for anyone with bed slingers. they still have a place, and are a really good backup if you're in a pinch.
