Onondaga County Ryan McMahon and the Democrat-controlled County Legislature have come to an agreement on the term limits battle. The county legislature agreed to McMahon's proposal that lets voters choose between separate three four-year terms and four four-year terms.
However, McMahon wanted the competing proposals on the ballot in 2027. As part of the agreement, it will appear on the November 2026 ballot.
