A major reconstruction project is changing how drivers, pedestrians and cyclists move through one of the busiest roads in the Village of Liverpool.
Second Street, also known as State Route 370, is being rebuilt with new sidewalks, curbs and pavement. Crews are also repairing manholes and other parts of the roadway before the street is milled and repaved.
Ed Weldin, superintendent of the Village of Liverpool Department of Public Works, said the road was in poor condition and needed significant work. He said the current lane pattern is temporary and the state project is expected to be completed by the end of August.
