This is the point of no return.

In today’s video, we move from layout to permanence as we finish setting the foundation piers for our timber frame building. We start by positioning the final concrete form tubes, tying rebar for strength, and double-checking alignment—because once concrete is poured, there are no do-overs.

From there, it’s all hard, physical work: mixing concrete by hand, hauling it to each pier, and carefully pouring and setting the foundation that will carry the weight of the entire structure. Every bucket matters. Every step matters.

This is the kind of work that doesn’t look flashy, but it’s what determines whether a building lasts for generations or becomes a problem down the road. It’s slow, heavy, demanding work—but it’s also deeply satisfying.

If you’re interested in timber framing, traditional building methods, or seeing what real construction looks like without shortcuts, this video shows the kind of effort and attention required to get it right.

✨ In this video you’ll see:
• Setting final form tubes for foundation piers
• Tying rebar for concrete reinforcement
• Mixing and carrying concrete by hand
• Pouring and finishing foundation piers
• Why foundation work is truly permanent
• Progress on our timber frame building project

This video is part of our ongoing timber frame series, documenting the entire build from raw materials to finished structure.

Thanks for following along—now the real structure can begin.
