A strategy for defeating True Orochi on the Ark of Yamato without Exorcism Slips. This is for NG All Brushes, where we have Power Slash 3 to make this go much faster.
Phase 1 is finished by using Waterspout and PS3 to kill the bell, which saves an ExL. Phase 2 involves using Waterspout to get a roaring head drunk while simultaneously hitting the previous head to damage it, then using 1 to 3 Power Slashes to kill it. This cycle can be done seamlessly for all 8 heads using Inkfinity.
For Phase 2, if done optimally, this loses about 23 seconds versus killing the heads in 2 groups of 4 using 2 ExMs, for 4 ExMs total. That gives this strategy a yen efficiency of over 76k yen/min, which is very worthwhile. Of course, there's a lot of ways to mess this up, so it takes practice.
This strat also works on Moon Cave Orochi, though in All Brushes you only have PS2 when you fight him there as opposed to PS3 for the Ark, costing you a few extra seconds over the course of the fight. You're also only saving 2 ExL as opposed to 4 ExM, but it's still worth doing.
