This should save about 3 seconds in NG Any% if done perfectly, because it skips the cutscene where you wake Susano. There's no time save or loss in this segment since we are forced to wait for nightfall, but skipping cutscenes saves time because time-of-day does not pass during them.
The challenge is, of course, drawing the Vine quickly. I think that, with practice, it can be done just as quickly as is normally done in the old route, so this should not lose time. However, if you are slow in drawing the vine, you will lose time because time-of-day doesn't pass when you are using the brush.
In terms of actual duration, I think this route is maybe a few seconds faster than the other route as well, though any time saved from movement is (again) lost to waiting for nightfall at the Cutters' house. That said, it may be enough time to pick up an extra treasure somewhere, which would effectively save time in All Brushes.
