Normally, if you go into Rao's secret tunnel early via OoB and enter Himiko's palace, Issun will treat the story sequence like you're in the Evil Rao sequence, and prevent you from leaving Himiko's palace. This would normally be a softlock, since the rock blocking the tunnel's entrance in Ryoshima is still there, so you can't leave either way. However, this video shows a way to get over the invisible wall surrounding Himiko's Palace and leave. If you hit Issun's trigger from reverse, he'll teleport you into the palace again.
As far as I know, this doesn't serve any purpose at the moment.

Ive spent the past few days de-rusting in preparation for SGDQ submissions, with the goal of breaking WR so I could have an up-to-date video to submit. This run definitely beat my expectations in that regard. I created a 2m lead pretty early by correcting mistakes and having good fights early-game, and pretty much held onto it for the rest of the run by playing consistently well.
I do still think this category has a fair way to go in terms of development. The past weekend has shown me that there are still new tricks and optimizations to be found, and this run still has several minutes of time-save left in it. Sum-of-best is 2:17:36 now, which makes me feel that a dedicated person really could break 2h 20m.
