The split between budget and full-price games during the 8-bit days tended to also show a split in the developers making them too. Though there'd be some who'd experiment by making both, even if they were primarily known for one. Just like Sensible Software, though known for many a classic, also had lesser appreciated gems, like Oh No! published through Silverbird in 1988.
