Arcade racing games have come a long way from the earliest days of the arcade and onto home systems. One of the defining 16-bit efforts was Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge, developed by Magnetic Fields and published by Gremlin in 1990.

In this episode of Beyond The Scanlines, I'll be taking a look at the original Commodore Amiga version, alongside ports to the Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum.

All three versions recorded from real hardware, fed into an XRGB mini:
● Commodore 64 via a C64 Reloaded Mk 2 board using S-Video
● Commodore Amiga via an Amiga 500 using RGB
● ZX Spectrum via a ZX Spectrum+ 128k using RGB
