There is a typo on the portuguese lyrics, the singer says "1883" but he was born in april 19 of 1882.
Getúlio Vargas was a deputee from the state of Rio Grande do Sul from 1924 to 1928; governor of said state from 1928 to 1930; president of Brazil from 1930 to 1937; dictator of Brazil from 1937 till 1945; senator from 1946 to 1950 and president again from 1951 to 1954. At the brink of a US sponsored military coup he comitted suicide on august 24 of 1954.
The footage came from a series of documentaries from Getulio Vargas, like "Getúlio Vargas do Brasil" from 2004 and "Getúlio Vargas" made in 1974 by Ana Carolina
Some were also taken from the "Arquivo Nacional" site
