Nyan Cat is 10 years old this year. 🧓

I remember when Nyan Cat seemed to come out of nowhere really falling in love with the concept, even having bought a few shirts of Nyan Cat and Nayn Cat (which I wore in covers a LONG time ago). For a while I thought it'd be fun to play, but each time I picked up my guitar to try to play it, it was just too hard and I couldn't decide if it would be better to do as a tapping riff or a picking thing. Since I was so set on focusing on Video Game Music for this channel, I eventually dropped the idea in 2011.

I used to catch up with my buddy CSGuitar89 all the time on Skype around then who also was a prominent Video Game Guitar cover artist on YouTube. I distinctly remember talking to him about it and how fun it would be to make a cover of it, but never really getting around to it. Nyan Cat was really a meme that seemed to rise and fall very quickly as a viral sensation and is one of the earliest examples of what we see now where a meme will enter absolute critcal mass appeal and seemingly disappear as fast as it came.

Though as much as an ancient meme relic, Nyan Cat still slaps and has remained in my heart all this time. Hope you guys like what I did with it. :)
