When I first played FNF earlier this year, I got to week 2 and immediately thought of how perfect it'd be to do this with my good friend Lyle. Not only does he look like him, but I've been wanting to do a proper cover with Lyle for years. This was one I specifically saved to do with him one day and I couldn't be happier.
His visit lined up with a visit from Jerod (The8BitDrummer) and I asked Jerod if he'd like to play girlfriend and also have some drums on a video for once! Though he's in the video, sadly the drums are preprogrammed as usual. But now that I have an acoustic drumkit in my house.... who knows for the future...
Most of the FNF covers I've done to date have really come down to sending a file back and forth and having the collaborator do their thing, but Lyle and I actually tracked this together back and forth playing off each other in real time and I think it really encapsulates a really cool dynamic for the song! Hope you enjoy!

It seems like the Friday Night Funkin Frenzy is finally starting to fade slightly. However thats not going to stop me from covering bangers when I hear em! I havent been up to date with mods only having tried Mid-Fight Masses in the last month but the outcry in the comments for me to do this was unignorable. So I did what any Gopnik culture loving, hard bass comrade would do and ordered myself an ushanka and addidas tracksuit far too late, but as they say, better than never.
This week I traveled to San Antonio for San Japan so I was short on time for the cover this week. I chose this one as I hoped it would be easier having only the opening riff in mind, but as I arranged it I realized what I got myself into. I tried not to change the arrangement too much and just add a few sections. The most fun part was cranking the kick to obnoxious levels and just trying to make a mix that slapped enough for the mother land. Hope you dig it even though its a bit weird!
All heels remained grounded this whole video. Respect to the squat warriors of Gopnik culture. My capatilist thighs were almost no match.

Its been a hot minute since I dive into Danganronpa 2, but as I was trying to figure out a cover to do this week that wasnt something Ive covered to death over the past few weeks, Adriana suggested I finally take this one on. Playing so much Among Us and being around the DR OST for my second channel highlights has really got me back in the Danganronpa mood so I thought itd be a good time to take this on. I definitely underestimated the work that would go into it though.
I cant remember the last video for this channel that took so long to finish. I thought since most of the song felt so improv and pentantonic in nature, it shouldnt be too bad, but the sheer amount of music to memorize and get right for tracking and video was overwhelming for getting something like this done in a weeks time. I actually missed out on a lot of influence for pentantonic and classic-ish rock soloing so I was excited to take this on as sort of a study in that style of guitar to learn a few guitar tricks I might have missed out on, but it ended up being a much more intensive expeirience than I expected.
With all the challenge, I just barely got this one done in time, but Im hoping Ill finally have some time now to play some Age of Calamity this week and catch up on sleep! Thanks so much for watching and I hope you enjoy!
