1218, Southern Style documents that 3 Excursions pulled by N&W 1218 in the fall of 1987. First, we see 1218 operating a trip from Ludlow, Kentucky to Danville, Kentucky over the weekend of September 12th & 13th of 1987. This is followed by 1218 running a trip from Ludlow, Kentucky to Chattanooga, Tennessee during the following weekend of September 20th & 21st of 1987. Finally, we see 1218 operating an excursion from Birmingham, Alabama to Chattanooga, Tennessee during the weekend of October 10th & 11th of 1987. Numerous run-by's and even pacing scenes are included with 1218 at speed past the changing colors of Autumn.
This program was produced by the now defunct Lasting Impressions, a video company that operated out of Louisville Kentucky from 1982 to 1991 making railroad videos. Most if not all of the Lasting Impressions shows are lost with only 10 having been found up to this point in Time.
