Mariah was an elementary school teacher in Southern Oregon, but she felt the call to nursing. Since she already had a bachelor’s degree, OHSU’s Accelerated B.S. in Nursing program in Ashland fit the bill.

Not only are new students guaranteed a $5,000 scholarship to the Ashland program, but Mariah also applied for and received many more.

“I cried after every scholarship letter that I got, because I just felt like people were investing in me and thinking I was going to be a good nurse.”
