After years of complaints about poor living conditions, lawsuits and a deadly fire in February, the Nob Hill Apartments in Syracuse are showing signs of improvement under new management — but tenants say some longstanding problems remain.
United Plus Property Management took over the complex in May with 114 open code violations. The company says that number has since dropped to 49 as it works to address years of maintenance and safety concerns.
Tenant Sean Stanyon said he has noticed changes, including more cleaning and more frequent trash pickup. But he said he continues to document problems inside the complex, including pests and overflowing garbage.
