My in-laws are coming to visit for the first time and I've been frantically fixing up my guest room for them. The last thing I wanted to do was to build a couple nightstand tables to go beside the bed. I design the the table in sketchup and then head out to the barn to start building it. I cut all the pieces out on the CNC plasma table. For the table top, I cut a bunch of metal strips that are different widths and weld them together to make a plate, before cutting the table top shape out of it. I weld all the pieces of the table together and lastly give it a coat of clear enamel to finish the project off.
