With time the electric gate motor shafts get worn and slip on the actuating arm so that your electric gate goes all floppy and won’t open or close. It has happened on all four of mine. They are made by NICE. Model ME3000.
Straight forward to fix. Needs a drill and the following:
Cobalt drill bits here:

Tap and Die set for making a screw thread in the hole:
