This event is part of Newcastle University's series of debates inspired by the Government’s five missions.

The establishment of a North East Combined Authority and Mayor for the North East is intended to be a positive step towards reducing inequality and the North-South divide, but how can investment be targeted where we need it most? A panel of experts will discuss how we can drive growth and productivity in the region.

- Paul Kett, Senior Adviser and Global Director Education and Skills, PwC United Kingdom
- Charlotte Carpenter, Director of Skills, Inclusion and Public Service Reform, North East Combined Authority

The panel is chaired by Jane Robinson, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Engagement and Place, Newcastle University.
