Spyker is back with the C8 Preliator XXV, a 789 horsepower supercar combining outrageous aviation inspired styling with a proper manual transmission.
Only 25 examples are planned, and this could be the beginning of a much bigger comeback for the Dutch supercar manufacturer.
Making its debut in Monterey, the Spyker C8 Preliator XXV brings back many of the details that made Spyker cars instantly recognizable. The body features aviation inspired NACA ducts, propeller influenced wheels, jet afterburner style taillights, and a dramatic center fin.
Power comes from an Audi sourced twin turbocharged 4.0 liter V8 producing 789 horsepower and 739 pound feet of torque. Spyker claims the C8 Preliator XXV can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in under 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 217 miles per hour.
Inside, Spyker continues its tradition of creating some of the most unusual cabins in the supercar world. The exposed manual gearshift mechanism immediately stands out, while the Monterey debut car combines Quail Green paint with distinctive rose gold detailing.
With production limited to just 25 examples and a reported value of around $1.6 million for the debut car, the C8 Preliator XXV will be extremely rare. Spyker has also indicated that this is only the beginning, with plans involving the D8 Peking to Paris Super SUV and a possible return to GT3 motorsport.
Would you take this 789 horsepower manual Spyker over a modern Ferrari, Lamborghini, or McLaren? Let us know in the comments, and remember to like the video and subscribe to DPCcars for more supercar news and new vehicle debuts.
