My clock was damaged in shipment. The Dial door was broke off the hinge. I fixed that, used Old English Scratch Cover over the whole clock because someone hadn't cared for the clock in a while and gave the clock a good waxing with Howard's Wax.
As for the movement, the only thing I did was oil the movement, and took the two barrel springs out and cleaned and oiled them to make them fresh again. The clock works very well now and many years to come.

Here I do most of my work on clocks. Mainly cuckoo clocks, yet I am always looking for the unusual and eye catching clocks. Some of the clocks I get into are ones that need saved from the dump. They fell off the wall from not sucuring the clock to the wall using the stud behind the sheetrock. Some of the clocks were laid to rest out in the garage or barn and I except the challange of getting them back together again.
A well loved clock at one time is one that has a lot of wear and you find old bushings that might need to be replaced.
