The Anythink Nature Library in Thornton had its grand opening over the weekend. The 15-acre library is Colorado’s first nature-based library and has plenty of books to check out, but it all focuses on the theme of nature and connecting people to the outdoors.
Colorado residents can sign up for a free library card, and once a member, can check out books and a host of other bundles and resources. The library lets members take home “TryIts,” bundles ranging from birdwatching kits to gardening tools. There are also games to take home, and soon, kayaks and paddleboards will also be available.
Denver-based reporter, Adrian O’Farrill, was there on opening day and has a deeper look at the library and its offerings.
