Boulder summers are getting hotter.

That’s why climate specialists are investing in new technology to keep the city cool. As part of a recent pilot, workers painted a roof in North Boulder with a type of white paint that promises to cool surfaces without electricity.

I spoke with Jordan Fourcher, the CEO behind CryoPaint, to understand how the technology works and why the paint costs nearly $300 a gallon.
