Each summer, the Colorado Trail Foundation sends crews of volunteers for trail work along the Colorado Trail. Trail crew projects can be anywhere from a single day to a week in duration, and the maintenance they do is what keeps the Colorado Trail passable for hikers each year. This maintenance includes everything from clearing fallen trees and other debris from the trail to building and repairing drainages, bridges and the trail itself.
