Yesterday I showed you an object I discovered at an outdoor shooting range, which I initially assumed to be a shotgun shell or flare cartridge.
In reality, this is a Federal Firestick, a blank cartridge designed for use with the Traditions Nitrofire in-line muzzleloading rifle. This system addresses most of the inherent shortcomings of muzzleloading firearms while still meeting the technical definition of "muzzleloader" for use during so-called "primitive" hunting seasons.
