Developed in the early 1970s by Bristol Aerospace Ltd. (today Magellan Aerospace) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, the Canadian Rocket Vehicle (CRV) 7 is a 70mm (2.75 inch) unguided air-to-ground rocket weapon designed to be launched from jet aircraft and helicopters. Its high-energy propellant gives it a higher terminal velocity and accuracy compared to similar rocket weapons, leading to its widespread adoption by several NATO and other western-aligned militaries.
