Introduced in the 1970s, the Kodak Carousel Synchronizer Models 2 and 3 were upgraded versions of the 1960s-era Kodak Carousel Programmer, which allowed slide shows to be automatically synchronized with recorded narration. The Models 2 and 3 were considerably simpler and more compact than the Model 2 thanks to the use of stereo rather than mono recording technology and the incorporation of one of the first commercially-available integrated circuits.
