I was diagnosed as HIV+ in 2016, and came out publicly six years later in 2022.

For the past two years, thanks to the continued support of my family, friends, and HIV charities, I have grown to recognise how proud I am, of who I am.

The Terrence Higgins Trust gave me the confidence to tell my story, and to take it in to schools, prisons, organisations and charity events.

I am Philip Dehany, an actor and activist originally from Middlesbrough but now live in London. 

I have been a theatre blogger and YouTube presenter and produced That Stagey Blog for five years. 

Having lived with HIV since 2016 I now also work as a volunteer and activist for several HIV charities including The Food Chain and Positively UK.

I am also a public speaker for the Terrence Higgins Trust.
