Today I celebrate 10 years of being HIV+
I’ve spoken openly about how transformative my diagnosis has been.
From keeping my status private for the first six years to now finding my voice and openly fighting stigma by working with some incredible HIV charities.
It hasn’t always been easy, but I have never stopped being grateful for all the support I’ve had along the way from, my family, friends and my community.
I really do love my life, and feel so lucky to still be here.
I hope that I can continue to inspire and inform people what it’s like to live with HIV, because it really did get better.
Huge thanks to 56 Dean Street.
With thanks to Fast-Track Cities London, Phoenix Health Movement, National AIDS Trust, Act Up London, AIDS Health UK, AIDS Quilt UK, Royal Vauxhall Tavern and THT Champions.
Special thanks to the Terrence Higgins Trust, the BBC, and Barclays for helping me to tell me story.
