2026 is already shaping up to be a massive year for rock and metal, and in this video I break down the albums I am most anticipating as we head into the new year. This is a two-part discussion. First, I focus on releases that already have confirmed dates, including records from established legends, modern heavy hitters, and bands returning after long absences. I also share early thoughts on available singles, discussing sound, style, and first impressions without spoiling full album details.
In the second half of the video, I move into prediction territory. Based on touring activity, recent interviews, long gaps between releases, and industry momentum, I outline which major bands I believe are highly likely to drop new material in 2026. Some of these are almost guaranteed, while others are educated guesses rooted in trends within the rock and metal scene.
