PRO-PAIN are back after eleven years with Stone Cold Anger, and somehow, against all odds, they may have delivered one of the strongest albums of their entire career.
I went into this review completely fresh. No nostalgia. No history with the band. Before this week, I had never listened to a full Pro-Pain album in my life. So I did the deep dive: the early records, the hardcore roots, the groove metal crossover, then sat down with Stone Cold Anger front to back.
What I found surprised me.
This is a lean, aggressive, groove-heavy hardcore record packed with crushing riffs, gang vocals, thrash energy, and some genuinely catchy songwriting. Gary Meskil still sounds furious after thirty-five years, the production hits hard, and the album never wastes your time.
