This song was inspired by the melody and its repetitive sound and, quite frankly, there just aren’t enough songs in this world with the word fixate in the lyrics, so I’ve tried to address that.

With many thanks to Sebastian Stone on Guitar and Bass
and to Makis Paradeisopoulos on electric guitar and drums.
Vocal recording at SKP Recording Studios
Mix and mastering by Makis Paradeisopoulos
Sketch is a joint effort - my granddaughter Arabella did this sketch and I modified it, added colours etc.
Sebastian also mastered the track in a different version and I thought perhaps of doing a poll to see which one people prefer but I will post that one too in a week or so as I also love that one but it’s so hard to choose.

![where are you now - an original song
I am hoping to record this song in the next week or two but wanted to share it now. On the surface, it is just a love song about the disconnect within a relationship and when it finds its way onto spotify etc, perhaps that’s all that a listener will take from it. However, here I can tell you that the inspiration for this song is dementia and for those families touched by that the lyrics might resonate a little deeper.
It is dementia action week May19- 25 and, as I doubt the recorded version will be available by then, I have decided to post this now.

Where are You Now?
c, dm, am
you don’t know I miss you,
you just don’t understand
c, dm, am
even when i’m here beside you
even when i take your hand
f. g
it’s like a door i can’t push through
(f) to reach the other side of you (g7)
(c) where (em) are you (am) now
where can (f) i find you
where can i find you (g) (g7)
(c) where is the (em) love you’ve (am) buried
can i (f) remind you, can i remind you (g)
your eyes they look right through me
It’s like you never knew me
it’s hard to see who i adored be
disappearing right before me
(c) where (em) are you (am) now
where can (f) i find you
where can i find you (g) (g7)
