SuperJet Spade | MUSHA Aleste - For The Love Of... (Roland SC-88 MIDI Cover) @SuperJet_Spade | Uploaded July 2022 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
Those of you who have seen a post I shared last week know that I got Roland SCVA again by legally purchasing it through Roland's cloud service. Thinking about what to do with it, I decided to use it to cover a song I've been wanting to do since 2018. Hearing Fragmare's PC Engine cover (which I used for reference) for the first time that year, I initially wanted to cover this on NES+VRC6, but I left it aside after starting it, so it just stood around collecting dust. After about two years, I considered wanting to try it out on SNES, but I had a difficult time trying to find some power guitar samples, so it was shelved. Towards the end of 2021, I decided to pick up the NES+VRC6 cover I had left three years prior, but at some point while working on it, I was unsatisfied with the sound design, so this was shelved. And this is where we come to last week, when I decided to cover it using the SC-88 instrumentation in SCVA. This music genre may not be my most favorite (because I'm not a huge fan of noisy power guitars), but I do have a few songs in this genre that I enjoy listening to every now and then (this song being one such example, as well as a few others from MUSHA).
Original song by: Toshiaki Sakoda. Visuals done with MIDITrail. Thanks for listening.
