If you follow me on Twitter, you might know that I got Reaper recently. This is a DAW that I've been wanting to try since 2018. I decided to try and compare it to LMMS by remaking this classic original tune of mine from 2018. This also gave me the excuse to put Super PSG (a Master System VST by Aly James) to use, which is used on Tracks 2 and 8. I also decided to sample two parts from my original Genesis version of this song, with "BlobRise" and "Reso-YM2612" on Tracks 8 and 12 respectively. Also decided to include a ride cymbal here. After doing this, I really like Reaper more than LMMS, and I might purchase the discounted license (USD $60) to it at some point now that I'm working in a daytime job. I also have plans to get a legitimate copy of Roland SCVA as well for use in Reaper (it's around the same price as Reaper's discounted license).
