Genesis/Mega Drive FM-only cover of a song I felt like doing. My earliest memory of discovering Kirby Super Star was watching a series of YouTube videos back in 2008 (when I was 11) which was a walkthrough of The Great Cave Offensive sub-game. Around one or two years later, I got its Nintendo DS remake (Kirby Super Star Ultra). I was able to complete both Spring Breeze and Gorumet Race. My sister helped with completing Dyna Blade through the Nintendo DS wireless communication feature for multiplayer mode (anyone remember that?), but I could never get past the final boss of The Great Cave Offensive, and nor did I get very far in both Revenge of Meta Knight and Milky Way Wishes. It was quite a lot of fun, and one of the games I had that took my mind off of middle school for a bit, though I've since lost the cartridge at some point. I did play the original SNES version around the same time using the SNES9X emulator with cheat codes. This song in particular became one of my favorites, first playing in the level of the same name in the Dyna Blade sub-game, and then in Planet Cavios/Cavius in the Milky Way Wishes sub-game. This song would get remixed in later Kirby games, such as the Metal Top Ride in Kirby Air Ride and Rift Ruin in Kirby: Canvas Curse. In fact, the song's remix in Kirby Air Ride was where I first heard it as a kid, and it wasn't until I was in middle school when I heard the original SNES version.
